Position Summary
This is an exciting time to join CPS Energy and be part of the founding team that is defining our digital transformation. The right individual will display leadership and influence; conceptualize and deliver iterative solutions that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical growth; and demonstrate the value of Design Thinking of the holistic end-to-end experience throughout the product life cycle.
The individual in this Sr. Product Manager role will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences through empathy for end users, making data-informed design and development decisions, and aligning with key stakeholders through persuasive storytelling and business acumen while creating a visible backlog for continuous improvement. The Sr. Product Manager works collaboratively to build trust across the organization and incorporates enterprise expectations in the evaluation, prioritization, development, management, testing, and implementation of our digital solutions.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Establish the product vision, success criteria, and roadmap based on optimizing business opportunities or mitigating user problems.
- Collaboratively create a backlog of product features, user scenarios, data analytics, and integrations to deliver a whole product.
- Leverage research and data to act as the voice of the customer.
- Define and measure key product success criteria that ensure customer usability, engagement, and adoption of the digital capabilities.
- Lead the agile team to deliver measurable value on a predictable cadence.
- Contribute to CPS Energy’ overall digital strategic direction and business objectives to deliver value for customers, partners, and employees.
- Lead by example the use of data to inform business and operational decisions.
- Collaborate with and influence senior leaders, product designers, developers, vendors, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product strategies and product/ feature launches.
- Recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to ensure an exceptional digital experience based on data, research, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management and Project Management teams to prioritize, plan, and status projects.
- Drive agile delivery while recognizing that prudent risk mitigation for a public utility is paramount as we up-level our digital interactions with customers, employees, and partners.
- Lead projects that define the digital transformation strategy, including content, design, research, and development activities.
- Employs design thinking to bring world-class experiences to market across multiple touch points.
- Oversee the quality of outputs from contractors and vendors who participate in the product life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of accessibility guidelines for digital capabilities.
- Experience initiating scrum ceremonies with developers, designers, testers, and analytics and setting overall direction for the team.
- Proven record of moving a digital platform or product from design concept through production/release.
- Experience overseeing contractors or vendor resources who perform interaction design and research activities for web and mobile applications.
- Understand emerging communication technologies.
