Position Summary
The Program/Project Lead for Corporate Responsibility reports to the Sr Manager and works closely with the entire Corporate Responsibility team as well as cross-functional business partners and various community stakeholders to implement and improve programs and therefore must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple programs/projects and balance changing priorities and have a high proficiency in time management.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Understands, incorporates, and communicates CPS Energy’s direction and initiatives throughout the organization and community. Provides leadership and the ability to develop, implement, and manage Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
- Responsibilities include volunteer engagement, community relations, and overseeing CPS Energy Community Investments in support of our local community and our companies’ focused areas.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on the company's CR policies and programs.
- Serves as company representative/spokesperson for select CR programs and partnerships.
- Works closely with the Corporate Communications & Marketing team to develop internal and external messaging strategies and content.
- Supports the refinement, conceptualization and implementation of standard operating procedures, and work processes for the department.
- Performs functions such as project management, program management, strategic planning and budgeting.
- Oversees the preparation of bids, contracts or written reports including associated cost estimates and /or specifications related to assigned programs.
- Ensures compliance with associated rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Develops, cultivates and owns relationships with representatives from key partner organizations, including but not limited to community agencies, non-profit organizations, Chambers of Commerce, and other partner organizations.
- Leverages industry groups through membership and networking (such as LPPC, APPA, SBA, Chambers of Commerce).
- Identifies opportunities for growth, improvement, and innovation.
- Participates in the business planning process.
- Serves as an advocate for CPS Energy before stakeholders, partners, and the general public.
- Must be able to work extended hours if needed; this includes evenings and weekends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Experience.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Strong reporting accuracy, attention to detail, and budgeting.
- Ability to perceive organizational and political sensitivities and act accordingly.
- Experience in writing grants.
- Experience working with or serving on a Board of Directors.
- Experience in starting or running a non-profit organization.
