Position Summary
The ERP System Administration Lead will report to the Technical Group Lead for CPS Energy’s ERP Transformation Program and is responsible for overseeing the deployment, operation, and continuous optimization of the Oracle Cloud ERP system environments. This senior leadership role will lead a team to manage & maintain the day-to-day operations of the Oracle Cloud ERP System including environment deployment and configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of core business modules on the oracle platform while adhering to security policies.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
This role will focus on building and mentoring a high-performing team through coaching, professional development, and performance management. The System Administration Lead will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that the ERP system supports the company’s strategic goals while adapting to evolving business and technical needs. By championing continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a forward-thinking approach, the individual in this role will play an integral part in the success of the ERP Transformation Program.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of ERP system deployment activities to align with business goals.

Drive initiatives that improve environment capability, scalability, and reliability.

Work with implementation partner to establish and implement best practices for system administration documentation procedures and align with security and compliance requirements.

Collaborate & engage with other IT team members/Business Stakeholders for seamless integration with other systems as needed.

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate to system configurations.

Manage access to the environments and permissions within Oracle Cloud ERP system.

Maintain system configuration which includes business processes, workflow and data mappings.

Monitor overall environment performance using oracle standard tools to mitigate potential bottlenecks.

Administer deployment of emergency or scheduled system updates in staging environment. Ensure the same are tested and verified before moving to production in collaboration with business area stakeholders and technical teams.

Incorporate industry specific regulations, compliance requirements and awareness of core business processes and accounting principles to program procedure documents.

Implement procedure(s) to ensure maintain data integrity & data quality checks after data refresh to the staging environment.

Foster a collaborative environment within the team that encourages knowledge sharing, cross-training, teamwork, and mentoring/coaching for professional development.

Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced certification in Oracle Cloud ERP, such as Oracle Financials Cloud: General Ledger Implementation Specialist.
- ITIL Certification, such as ITIL Foundation Level, to demonstrate knowledge of IT service management best practices.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, emphasizing IT security expertise.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner to support cloud infrastructure integration.
- Project management certifications, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- Proven experience managing large-scale ERP implementations, particularly within a utility or enterprise context.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
