Position Summary
The CPS Energy Internship Program is designed to meet the industry’s rapidly changing workforce needs by providing local San Antonio college students with public utility career experience. Through the internship program students are paired with a mentor to acquire meaningful hands-on experience that expands their understanding of how the industry works and exposes them to essential skills they must acquire or develop to be successful. The internship is not only meant for the intern to learn how to perform, but to also understand the rationale behind the strategies that are being used.
The primary purpose of this internship is to support the enterprise Vision 2030 Strategic plan adoption. CPS Energy is transitioning from Vision 2027 to Vision 2030. We will be socializing Vision 2030 to our workforce and inviting them to engage, integrate, and adopt this updated business plan. This internship will help us make this important change. Overall responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting the tracking of action items, research and analysis, content development and maintenance, and meeting coordination and preparation.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Participate in Vision 2030 adoption meetings. Assist team with recording applicable deliverables, key takeaways, and next steps.
- Support and participate in conducting post-analysis reviews of Vision 2030 adoption activities to determine effectiveness and identify mitigation plans and gap closures.
- Assist in monitoring action items of ongoing efforts and projects.
- Ability to perform research and make recommendations based on the research.
- Review Vision 2030 materials and plans and make recommendations about content.
- Create Vision 2030 materials to support employee engagement and adoption.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills

- Coursework or academic focus in digital design, communications, organizational development, business administration, strategy.
- Experience tracking multiple timelines and tasks.
- Experience with creative teamwork.
- Experience creating digital content.
- Any previous projects or assignments that can demonstrate your interest with these or similar qualifications.
