Position Summary

Supports the Wellness Program Manager by coordinating and helping implement the short-term and long-term strategies of Wellness programming. Helps develop and executes programs that create awareness, motivation and provides tools to employees that help them adapt and maintain a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. Responsible for providing plan administration, participant communications and customer service of the company’s Wellness program.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assists Manager, Wellness Programs with developing Wellness programs to encourage core changes in individuals that will lead to lasting resolutions to primary health issues. 
  • Coordinates and organizes health and wellness initiatives and/or screenings with management at all CPS Energy locations.
  • Knowledgeable about various excel functions and formulas to accurately track, monitor, and coordinate employee and spouse attendance and participation in Wellness activities.
  • Uses data and metrics to suggest program design and/or programs to target prevalent health issues or health trends. 
  • Works closely with Wellness vendors and/or contractors to ensure incentive credit is accurately captured. 
  • Researches and responds to employees and spouses regarding any Wellness program inquiry.
  • Responsible for gathering and analyzing data to measure success on wellness programs. 
  • Creates, facilitates, and promotes Wellness topics and/or Wellness program information to all areas. 
  • Prepares information, presents and leads discussions on various health and wellness topics in a variety of settings (group, classroom, and requested one on one meetings). Information may include but is not limited to nutrition, fitness, stress management and tobacco cessation topics.
  • Prepares data to be included in presentations to the Administrative Committee/Executive leadership.
  • Creates marketing campaigns and communications that encourage Wellness program participation.
  • Responsible for maintaining professional expertise and staying current with emerging health and Wellness trends. Provides recommendations for optimizing participation with current programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

Experience working with Corporate Wellness programs and knowledge in health promotion.
Must be detail orientated and act with a sense of urgency.
Exhibits strong interpersonal, relationship-building, teamwork and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong public speaking and presentation skills - confidence in delivering information publicly to all levels of employees.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Ability to manage and coordinate events both indoors and outdoors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Possess a valid driver’s license with a history of a safe driving record in accordance with CPSE policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience preferred
  • Possess CHES or other Wellness related certification 
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulations around Worksite Wellness programs

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Kinesiology, Biology, Physical Sciences or related field from an accredited university.

Required Certifications

Working Environment

Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. Work hours may be extended.

Physical Demands

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
