Position Summary
Responsible for system administration, hardware support, software support, maintenance, security, programming, troubleshooting, and enhancements. Also, responsible for documenting and developing procedures. Provides analytical support and reports for various projects, programs and portfolios to project managers, program/project team leaders and other internal and external stakeholders as assigned
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Core responsibilities focus on operational/tactical aspects of the organization and some strategic focus.
- Analyze project financial data to assist Project Managers and Engineers in managing project budgets.
- Create automated financial and project management reports and validate the output.
- Manage business plan initiatives and create processes to streamline the collection of data.
- Manage the Project Management Database and increase utility with reports and dashboards.
- Develops alternative solutions for decision-making which support organizational goals/objectives and budget constraints.
- Works within financial objectives/budget set by management.
- Utilizes the SAP system for research, analysis and report writing.
- Performs system administration duties of various software platforms, applications and integration.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots application/system operation and provides timely resolution to system issues.
- Assists users in resolving system design issues and maintenance concerns.
- Provides financial and operational analytical support for engineering and project management areas.
- Identifies improvements in existing processes needed to increase the level of efficiency.
- Collaborates with management in managing financial efficiency.
- Develops, maintains and presents process guidelines.
- Develops and conducts training classes when necessary.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
- Evaluates systems to ensure reliable operation and performance.
- Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree or relevant Certification.
- Extensive experience with administration of applications.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Project.
- Relative experience in supporting utility construction & maintenance.
