Position Summary
The BI Developer would be responsible for Development, Testing, Production deployment and Administration of Business Intelligence data products and the supporting software application. The BI Developer should engage with different business customers to implement end to end Business Intelligence and Data solutions.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop business process understanding such that developer’s data products play critical roles in the process
- Through careful listening, inquiry and understanding, developer will be tuned to distinguish and help user classify not only aspirations but core underlying needs
- Work with cross-functional teams, including with business leaders to design, develop and evolve reporting and analytics solutions while guiding them on the best business intelligence practices.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
- Capture and translate business/user requirements into technical specifications and design documentation for reporting solutions.
- Data driven and systems-thinking approach to solving complex problems
- Design and Development of BI solutions with SAP Business Objects, Tableau or similar tools.
- Design and Development of Data Engineering solutions with Alteryx, Oracle or similar tools.
- Design and Development of cloud-based data solutions AWS, Azure or similar technologies.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts,
- Develop testing scripts that can be easily reused
- Prepare and execute test plans for new functionality
- Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality
- Develop training outlines and/or record video tutorials for end-users
- Responsibilities include ensuring IT standards are met, production readiness processes are followed, and a quality system product is delivered into production
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, research, recommend and implement workable, realistic solutions for any enhancement or issue related to existing Tableau and SAP BOBJ environments
- Impact-based Service Request/Incident Management
- Install, Upgrade, Configure Reporting and Data Engineering Applications.
- Migration of reports to production
- Troubleshoot customer/production issues
- Management of Role-based User Access and Security
- Monitoring and reporting of data product utilization to department leadership
- Perform maintenance activities on BOBJ Landscape, Alteryx or similar Data Engineering tools and Tableau.
- Maintain current environment for operational break/fix issues, enhancements and support.
- Implementing Project Management principles in the execution of the effort across all phases (i.e. full SDLC) for different data projects.
- Project Lead in implementation of Business intelligence and other data solutions.
- Support area Manager in Project Team Resource Planning including introductory level supervision of staff work, budget reviews and tracking.

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient experience with Tableau SAP BOBJ and ETL development.
- Strong understanding of SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Oracle, SAP ERP.
- Strong Understanding of Utility domain experience or similar field.
- Any one Cloud Certification in AWS, Azure or similar technologies.
- Any one certification in Project Management methodologies.
