Position Summary

These positions handle or assist with the procurement of materials throughout various stages of the lifecycle. These Procurement positions offer opportunities for growth and progression within the position and into other positions on the team. 
 

Tasks and Responsibilities


Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.

 

Procurement Agent 1 - Procurement Agent is responsible for servicing internal clients through the procurement of goods and services, strategic sourcing and cost savings, contract management, supplier relationship management, supplier diversity planning and outreach, compliance management, ensuring all CPS Energy Policies, Procedures and Guidelines are followed, coordinating with internal client to create RF(x), negotiating terms and conditions, and management of the procure to pay cycle.  Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail. 

 

Analyst General Business 2 - Analyzes data to provide historical trends to ensure orders are placed timely and evaluates inventory levels to determine proper reorder points.  Meets with customer to understand upcoming material demand.  Work closely with vendors to resolve late deliveries and locate alternate materials.  Creates various reports to be used throughout the organization.  Develops and assists in tracking metrics for business processes. Supports established relationships with business counterparts and becomes a credible partner who seeks to understand business issues. Creates benchmarks and insights based on analytic techniques to address issues and improve financial and operational performance.  Demonstrates strong analytical skills with an eye for detail. 

 

Analyst Supply Chain 2 - This position is responsible for Supply Chain system administration, hardware and software support, and report development and analysis. Responsible for development of ad hoc and standardized reporting, data visualization, trend analysis and complex forecasting models to support operations and financial plans and to identify opportunities for process improvement.
 

Minimum Skills

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

Knowledge of an RF(x) – Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, Invitation for Bid, and Request for Qualifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment.
Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.
Understands processes and procedures in specialized field.
Must set priorities, organize work, and make occasional exceptions.
Ability to multi-task various critical work assignments in a fast-paced environment in a professional manner.
Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired results.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.

Basic understanding of variance analysis and business impact.
Intermediate understanding of SAP content, reports, table structures and current reporting tools.
Ability to work independently, or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve results with multiple deadlines.
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Business Objects, SAP/BI.
Basic knowledge of program/ program management concepts.
Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication skills with all levels across the organization. Ability to multi-task various work assignments in a fast-paced environment in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Procurement Agent 1: 

  • Experience and understanding of SAP modules and reporting Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, electric or gas industry.

Analyst General Business 2: 

  • Knowledge of SAP. 

  • Relative experience in finance or accounting preferred Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or Economics.

Analyst Supply Chain 2: 

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management or related field with increasing levels of responsibility. 

  • Demonstrated experience developing process flow diagrams and using lean tools to eliminate process waste. 

  • Demonstrated experience with leading project teams, creating dashboards and planning capital and O&M budgets.

Minimum Education

Procurement Agent 1: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Analysts Gen Bus 2 & Sup Chain 2:Bachelors degree in Business, Finace, Accting, Tech, Oper Mgmnt, Supply Chain or equiv work exp or related fld from accredit univ, or exp in Procurement, Cntrct Mgmt, or Cntrct Dev role Proc cert, i.e., CSCP, ISM, etc.

Required Certifications

Working Environment

Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equip, telephone, multi-functioning printer & calculator. Ability to travel between business related events. After hrs work will be required.

Physical Demands

Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
