Position Summary

The Program/Project Lead for Corporate Communications & Marketing reports to the Sr Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing (CC&M) and works closely with the entire CC&M team as well as cross-functional business partners and various community stakeholders to implement and improve programs and must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to manage changing priorities, and a high proficiency in time management.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Understands, incorporates, and communicates CPS Energy’s Corporate Communications direction and initiatives throughout the organization and community. 
  • Responsible for the planning, and day-to-day project management of CC&M programs. 
  • Serves as the liaison between the Public Relations, Marketing, Internal Communications and Special Projects teams. 
  • Manages the Corporate Communications project management tool and assists the Sr. Director with progress reports, team collaboration and editing to ensure consistent messaging throughout the CC&M team. 
  • Works closely with the CC&M team to develop internal and external messaging strategies and content.
  • Supports the refinement, conceptualization and implementation of standard operating procedures, and work processes for the department.
  • Oversees the preparation of bids, contracts or written reports including associated cost estimates and /or specifications related to assigned programs.
  • Ensures compliance with associated rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Develops, cultivates, and owns relationships with representatives from key business units.
  • Identifies opportunities for growth, improvement, and innovation.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the company's Corporate Communication policies and programs. 
  • Participates in the business planning and budget process. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Skills

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

Experience in corporate responsibility, working for a non-profit or event planning organization
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, work collaboratively with others, and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners
Ability to handle competing priorities, balance multiple objectives and coordinate projects with diverse stakeholders
Must be motivated self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong planning, organizational, and execution skills with unwavering attention to detail
Experience managing contracts and expenditures of funds related to dynamic programs
Must have strong business writing, presentation, and oral and written communication skills
Must have strong interpersonal relations and critical thinking skills
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to perceive organizational and political sensitivities and act accordingly.
  • Experience working in corporate communications. 
  • Professional project management certifications and training.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or other related degree field

Working Environment

Work is performed both indoors & outdoors, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, & repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equip, phone, multi-functioning printer & calculator.
Ability to travel frequently to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.

Physical Demands

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
