Position Summary
Provides managerial leadership to assigned staff to develop and implement training strategies, plans and processes to support organizational goals. Plans and leads training activities that ensures the development and improvement of employee skills and organizational performance. Participates in process improvement practices, provides innovative and customized training solutions, and coordination with employees at multiple levels to meet the diverse training needs of CPS Energy. Responsible for the development, performance, and practices of assigned staff.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and coordination of needs-based training curriculum that is aligned to business strategy and objectives
- Utilizes needs assessment, instructional design and post-course evaluation processes to ensure training needs and training effectiveness
- Ensures continuous improvement of training programs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training and to meet the needs of the various BU/BAs
- Analyzes performance data and coordinates with management and employees to identify training needs and develops new training programs or modifies existing training programs to meet organizational objectives
- Provides expert training guidance and support to BU/BA managers and directors to determine and implement special training programs/interventions to address personnel and/or performance issues
- Evaluates instructor performance and implements individual and group professional and functional development plans for assigned staff
- Develops and implements change management plans related to BU/BA training and development initiatives or project related training requirements
- Prepares, monitors, and manages departmental training budget and headcount within established targets
- Ensures all training facilities, resources, and equipment is properly maintained and operated in a safe manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
