Position Summary

The Program Manager provides proactive support to the business unit’s Executive Leader, project teams, customers, process management teams, and management.  The program manager is responsible for the coordination of resources, activities, and information to drive the priorities and initiatives of the organization for effective decision making with a focus is on data management and analysis while facilitating effective planning and project management.

Responsible for strategy planning and implementation to align business operations with the company's mission and goals. Develops and manages business unit operation analytics creating awareness on achievements and/or opportunities for improvement through data analyzation and visualization.  Utilizes knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Supports the business unit's leadership team by leading efforts to monitor the performance of the organization against key goals. Includes the design, implementation and ongoing management of critical performance reporting and delivery across the leadership team. 
•    Provides support to the leadership team in coordinating meetings and events and ensures that leadership attention and focus are on the most important areas for success. 
•    Performs analytics to provide input into business strategies, goal setting and continuous improvement. 
•    Manages department records as the Records Retention Liaison, is responsible for maintaining the business continuity plan, develops and documents business processes, and works with leadership to create and update department business plan, annual budget and resource plans. 
•    Consults, influences, and contributes to the development, management and implementation of departmental strategies and programs. 
•    Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives.
•    Leads (or assists as needed) and executes special projects, initiatives, research and studies for the Executive Leadership Team. 
•    Effectively shares ideas, knowledge, or experience by means of mentoring, training, and other collaboration with team members at all levels.
•    Establishes collaborative and strong relationships with operational leaders and decision makers throughout the organization and effectively represents the organization in varying assignments.  
•    Coordinates and assists in facilitation of division strategic planning and the development of departmental goals and objectives, to include effective communication of issues and recommended strategies/tactics.
•    Ensures the integration of sound project management principles and practices into all projects.
•    Works with internal stakeholders to standardize and automate (where possible) reports and their distribution.
•    Oversees reporting, lessons learned and process improvement tracking for events.
•    Ability to work from assigned work location and other locations as needed.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

Proficient experience in a related field.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate team building with employees across various disciplines and at all levels, including ability to engage people in productive activities without formal authority.
Extensive experience in customer service or community impact project management.
Strong interpersonal skills essential and ability to handle competing priorities.
Manage all phases of a project following established methodology with a considerable amount of autonomy.
Ability to execute on corporate and business unit strategies.
Advanced understanding of reporting requirements and tools.
Demonstrated ability and desire to help individuals and team achieve increased competencies and effectiveness levels.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
Perform work activities in office.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Professional Certification, such as PHR/SPHR, SHRM -CP, CPA, CFA, PMP, Six Sigma/LEAN or other related certifications.
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and analysis verbally, in written format, and in presentation format for audiences at every level of the organization.
•    Demonstrated track record of achievement.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related field from an accredited university or relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

Required Certifications

Working Environment

Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi- functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events. After hours work may be required.

Physical Demands

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
