Position Summary
Answers telephones, transfers calls, forwards messages, and provides guidance to customers and employees for filing claims. Receives incident/claim notices, creates and assigns claims. Maintains claim documentation and status in ClearSight claims management software and with outside counsel for attorney represented matters. Receives and processes 3rd party damage recovery claim payments.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to customers and employees with the claims process and routes escalated claim calls and emails.
- Assigns and records claims and incidents which require knowledge of CPS Energy gas and electric system terminology.
- Provides accurate filing support for the department, maintains electronic records.
- Manages report requests and files police reports, fire reports, miscellaneous claim reports, vehicle appraisal reports and attorney correspondence.
- Processes service entry sheets, handles incoming and outgoing mail, and retrieves and processes collection payments.
- Maintains claim files in ClearSight claims management software, orders office supplies and handles timesheet corrections.
- Assists adjusters with claims investigations.
- Handles confidential information and matters with discretion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
