CPS Energy is seeking a high performing Analyst Program/System to provide informational and technical support to Financial Services. Activities include, but not limited to, system administration of financial/budgeting/compliance modules, hardware support and implementation of financial tools, accounting/ budgeting system processes, preparation of audit schedules relative to financial master data / general ledger, system troubleshooting, efficiency & automation projects and solution enhancements for complex business needs. Individual’s experience and technical skills will determine the placement of Analyst Program/System job level 1 – 4.

Position Summary
CPS Energy is seeking a high-performing programmer analyst that serves as a technical/business resource within the Financial Services (FS) Business Area to support the following platforms:
- SAP Enterprise Planning Module (EPM): labor planning phase of the annual 5 Year budget
- SAP Financial Information (FI) & Controlling (CO): master data maintenance & cost allocation theory & design, month-end financial close processes & annual budget processes including overheads, settlements & assessments
- Redwood Software’s Financial Close Automation (FCA): month-end scheduling automation software that executes Month-End processes
- SAP Business Intelligence (BI): ability to write queries, create workbooks, work with Enterprise IT on development of new cubes as well as create reports using Crystal
- Oracle/Access databases: develops & maintains databases and queries as needed for FS reporting
- Tableau dashboards: develops and maintains dashboards using various data sources
- FS Excel Workbooks & Macros / VBA code / Python & Other programming language(s): develops & maintains Excel workbooks with Excel macros and uses VBA code Python language or other programming tools to streamline and automate financial processes that bring value through improved efficiency and effectiveness
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Leads & collaborates with other Financial Services areas to collect Headcount Count & Labor assumptions used to execute labor budgeting processes within EPM that generates the 5 Year Labor Budget
• Reviews FI/CO master data requests and identifies FI/CO system structure updates
• Performs cost allocation theory, design & programming functions
• Performs month-end financial close processes including overheads, settlement & assessments
• Performs annual budget processes including overheads, settlements & assessments in support of the 5-Year Budget
• Performs FCA monthly updates in support of the Monthly Financial Close process
• Develops, maintains & performs routine & ad hoc data queries from SAP ERP, BI, Oracle data bases and other related systems
• Develops, maintains & supports Oracle & Access data bases
• Develops and maintains dashboards through data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
• Recommends, develops and maintains Excel Workbooks & Macros, VB code, Python & other programming languages to streamline and automate financial processes
• Leads process improvement initiatives that create more efficient and effective processes
• Serves on special project teams as assigned related to System(s)/Automation(s)
• Performs system administration duties of various software platform (s), application(s), and integration
• Analyzes and troubleshoots application(s)/system(s) and provides timely resolution to system design and/or operational issues
• Develops and maintains complete and thorough Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s for areas of responsibility
• Collaboratively cross-trains team members to support continuous learning and back-up support
• Develops and conducts training classes as requested
• Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and technologies
• Maintains and enhances systems as required to support operations
• Evaluates systems to ensure reliable operational performance

Master’s degree or relevant Certification
Extensive experience with financial and operational analytical support. Extensive experience with administration of applications.
Relative experience in supporting utility construction and maintenance. Experience with GASB accounting rules, principles and guidelines Experience with FERC accounting rules and guidelines
Experience with SAP modules and tools (i.e., GL, CO, PM, PS, MM, Budgeting, Planning & Consolidation) Experience with Data Visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
Experience with the electric or gas utility industry gained through experience at an electric / gas utility, an investment bank, consultant, or other professional service provider serving the industry
