Position Summary

Provides awareness to the division on its achievements and/or opportunities for improvement through data analyzation and visualization.  The output of the position, helps guide work requirements, identify deficiencies in programs for improvement and showcases community engagement immersion in CPS Energy’s territory to our external stakeholders.
Responsible for system administration, software support, maintenance, security, programming, coding, troubleshooting, and enhancements specific to SalesForce a web-based platform.  Develops and maintains visual data management analytics showcasing business area key performance indicators.  Also, responsible for documenting and developing procedures.  Provides analytical support and reports for various projects, programs and portfolios to project managers, program/project team leaders and other internal and external stakeholders as assigned


Additionally, is expected to be available to educate the community about the benefits of the programs to improve CPS Energy’s energy efficiency/conservation goals and support community aid in times of need.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Core responsibilities focus on strategic as well as operational/tactical aspects of the organization.
•    Analyze project financial data to assist management in facilitating project budgets.
•    Create automated dashboarding and reports to validate KPI output.
•    Manage business plan initiatives and create processes to streamline the collection of data.
•    Manage the Project Management Database and increase utility with reports and dashboards.
•    Continually assess and improve the project management process and documentation of those processes.
•    Maintains and enhances systems (SalesForce) as required to support operations.
•    Performs system administration duties of SalesForce software platforms, applications and integration.
•    Analyzes and troubleshoots application/system operation and provides timely resolution to system issues.
•    Provides financial and operational analytical support for engineering and project management areas.
•    Identifies improvements in existing processes needed to increase the level of efficiency.
•    Collaborates with management in managing financial efficiency.
•    Develops, maintains and presents process guidelines.
•    Develops and conducts training classes when necessary.
•    Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
•    Performs system coding, programing and building of software platforms specific to SalesForce.
•    Evaluates systems to ensure reliable operation and performance.
•    Assists users in resolving system design issues and maintenance concerns.
•    Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. 
•    Confers with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures. 
•    Conducts on-site observation and personnel interviews to determine work-flow processes and needs. 
•    Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills

Personal Computer Usage

Minimum Knowledge and Abilities

Programmer/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing technical and analytical solutions.
Extensive knowledge of programmer/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing financial and operational solutions.
Experience working with moderately complex data.
Understands processes and procedures in specialized field.
Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to multi-task various critical work assignments proactively and independently in a fast paced environment and in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or relevant Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial and operational analytical support.
  • Extensive experience with administration of applications.
  • Relative experience in supporting utility construction & maintenance.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Math, the Natural Sciences, or other quantitative field from an accredited university or related area; proven working experience may be used in lieu of degree

Working Environment
